In the previous
post , you have read about itinerary of this trek but actually , we will start
our Trekking journey from this post . We actually were two from
Delhi -NCR , me and my friend Amit Tiwari ji from Gurgaon . Our third companion
of this trek , Srikant will join us in Ransi or you may say we will join him
there as he is waiting for us since last 2-3 days in the guest house of our
friend Bhatt ji . Amit ji is master of the trekking art . He left about
one hour earlier than me but I reached before him at Haridwar Bus stand . we
both started our journey to Kund from Haridwar via Rudraprayag
by the very first bus which was going to Sonprayag . Most of the passengers
were going to Kedarnath Darshan , even a family with their 2 year old child was
traveling with us . I was afraid as many of us could not dare to go to Kedarnath
as we think how will we survive in the severe cold of that divine place , but
that family was happy and was very hopeful as the Lord Kedarnath is calling
them . Salute to that unknown family for their believes.
In the
afternoon we were on the Jeep stand of Kund , and as soon as we came out
from the bus, a jeep was there to Ukhimath . Ukhimath is the place where
Lord Kedarnath is worshipeed in Omkareshwar temple in winter . It was about
2:30 PM and we did not eat anything so far . so , first I only took some samosa
as Amit Bhai does not eat anything on the way due to vomiting . We have a jeep
in front of us for Ransi , but It will start after all the seats will be full ,
any how we reached Ransi by 5 PM in the guest house of Ravinder Bhatt ji . Actually
, some post says that the starting point of this trek is Uniyana village but
now please update it that Jeeps and one bus is running upto Ransi now , so the
starting point has shifet ed ahead from Uniyana to Ransi . Jeeps are available
from Ukhimath and one only bus is avaialble from Rudraprayag to Ransi via
Ukhimath but locals says that we can't trust much upon the bus timings.
Ravinder Bhatt ji is a Government teacher in his village Ransi itself , a
trained trekker and of course a nice and social gentleman . His brother runs a
guest house and trekking company there , so if you are willing to trek near
Ransi , you may contact him . I hope you will not be disappoint with his
courtesy .
Today is 17th June
and the day is Saturday , the weekend . We have reached in the guest house of
Bhatt ji , where our third partner of this trek , Mr.Srikant is waiting eagerly
since last 2-3 days . It is our first meeting with Srikant but second with
Bhatt ji , yes second ! as we have met for few minutes on the trek of Satopanth last year. I take blanket
and am going to sleep , rest of the management will be on the mighty shoulders
of Amit ji and Bhatt ji as Amit ji is expert in all these things :) . By 9:00
PM everything is ready like Tent , sleeping bag , mats , porters and of course
ration for next days. I have to go for a long trek , and I feel I only is
the weakest point of this chain so I need some more rest . so after having a
delicious Dinner with all the friends , I again want to sleep .
Next day , the day
and date has changed as of Sunday i.e 18th June 2017. Its natural whether you
are in Ransi , in Delhi or in London :) . It is being important to take bath in
the cold water of Ransi as will not get a chance in next 8 days . We both , I
and Srikant had Rakeshwari temple Darshan and meanwhile Amit Bhai has taken all
the necessary permissions from the forest department . It can be noted here
that Nandikund trek from Ransi to kalpeshwar is under the forest department of
Uttarakhand and they charge fee of Rs 150 for a day per tent. After having
Aloo Paratha with Mix pickles and hot tea in breakfast , we all are ready
to go for 90 kilometers lengthy trek in next 8-9 days . There are two
young Bengali boys here with us , they are going to Mandhani Bugyal , which
is a very beautiful bugyal on the route of Mahapanth Col . Mahapanth Col is
a tough trek which ends at Kedarnath , but we did not try it yet . Bengali
people are supposed trekker by birth and they always love to trek new and
unexplored places mostly. Today we want to reach Nanu Chatti which is about 10
km from here , Ransi .
We started our
trek at about 10 AM from Ransi and after about 2 hrs of easy walking we were in
the village Gaundhar . You may say Gaundhar is the last permanent
village on this trek route . Ransi is at 2100 meters from MSL while Gaundhar is
at 1900 meters , so the walk of 5 kilometers was easy . There is a Hydro
power station near Gaundhar from where power supply is provided to this
village but it does not have any dispensary . There are all basic
facilities are available to stay there and many peoples take their halt here
when they trek to Madhyamheshwar . We have to walk parallel but opposite
to Madhu Ganga river . after crossing this village you will found another
temporary settlement named as "Bantoli" . Here too , you may
get stay and food . This way is actually trek of Madhyamaheshwar , so many
people in the Yatra Season trek up to Madhyamaheshwar . The people from
nearby villages like Gaundhar and some from Ransi come here and make their
temporary settlements and they provide basic food and lodging for the Yatris(
Travelers) at a very nominal rate . So , if you are planning to go up to Madhyamaheshwar
, you don't need to carry your heavy tents , sleeping bags or food items . you
can have all the basic needs in these temporary stay points and these are open
right from April ( the date is announced by the authorities to open the doors
of Madhyamaheshwar ) to Mid Nov. After the yatra concluded , these peoples go
back to their permanent residence.
After crossing "Bantoli " mountains
are starts and yes we have to go beyond them so we would have to walk . There
are countless hills through them we have to go round and round . We are
reaching Nanu Chatti , which is about 5 km away from Gaundhar village
but gains height so it was little difficult to reach there in this leg of 5 km
. Nanu Chatti is also a temporary settlement which has limited options to stay
and food . It was about 3:00 PM when we reached there . we request for some tea
and Maggi but the young boy is busy in his radio . Oh ! it's a cricket match
commentary between India and Pakistan . Its final match , so we too are
listening with him now . He goes inside and prepare tea and Maggi , but still
we are here and saying "Indian Style Words " to Indian Batsmen as
they are being out very soon. Nanu Chatti is our today's stay point and we will
pitch our tent here . some very beautiful Garhwali children want to come close
to us but they looks shy . But after some time , I have a little friend in them
, so cute ! so sweet ! In evening I and Amit ji played with them a great game
of catching a Bicycle Tyre . It was a tremendous game , we never played before
in our childhood :) . Let's go to bad of roses after listening a bad news that
India have lost the Final match against Pakistan .

पिछली पोस्ट में आपने नन्दी कुंड - घिया विनायक पास ट्रैक का संक्षिप्त विवरण पढ़ा था लेकिन वास्तव में ट्रैकिंग पोस्ट आज इस पोस्ट से शुरू करेंगे ! मैं सुबह - सुबह करीब पौने तीन बजे हरिद्वार पहुँच गया और अमित भाई करीब साढ़े तीन पहुंचे , जबकि वो मुझसे पहले निकले थे गाज़ियाबाद से ! जब तक अमित भाई पहुंचे , मैं दो चाय खींच चुका था और फिर साढ़े चार बजे बस निकलने से पहले अमित जी के साथ एक और :) ! अब हम निकल चले रुद्रप्रयाग होते हुए कुण्ड के लिए ! रुद्रप्रयाग से कई बार निकला हूँ और एक रात रुका भी हूँ लेकिन केदारनाथ की तरफ जाने का ये पहला अवसर था और इस तरफ 2013 की प्राकृतिक आपदा के निशान अब भी कहीं कहीं दिख जाते हैं ! ये बस सोनप्रयाग की बस थी , मतलब अधिकांश सवारियां केदारनाथ जी के दर्शन करने जा रही थीं ! दोपहर डेढ़ -दो बजे जैसे ही कुण्ड पहुंचे , तुरंत ही जीप मिल गई उखीमठ तक जाने के लिए !
सर्दियों में उखीमठ के ही ओंकारेश्वर मंदिर में भगवान श्री केदारनाथ जी की मूर्ति स्थापित रहती है और वहीँ इनकी पूजा होती है ! दोपहर करीब ढाई बजे हम उखीमठ पहुँच गए , अभी तक ऐसा कुछ नहीं खाया था जिससे पेट में वजन पड़े ! चाय -चाय करते पेट नहीं भरता ! जल्दी ही दो ब्रेड पकोड़े उतार लिए अकेले ही , अमित भाई को उल्टी आती है रास्ते में इसलिए उनका तो भूल ही जाओ कि वो कुछ खाएंगे भी पूरा दिन :) ! एक जीप मिल गई , शायद लास्ट होगी रांसी जाने के लिए !
जी , अब रांसी तक के लिए जीप मिल जाती हैं , मैं ये इसलिए बता रहा हूँ क्योंकि कुछ ब्लॉग पोस्ट में मैंने ऐसा पढ़ा था कि जीप बस उनियाना गाँव तक ही जाती हैं !! तो आप अपनी जानकारी को अपडेट करिये कि अब जीप रांसी तक जाती हैं और जब हम आगे गए तो रांसी से आगे भी सड़क बन रही थी , इसलिए संभव है कि जीप अगले कुछ महीनों में रांसी से भी कुछ और आगे जाने लग जाए !! पांच बजे के आसपास हम अपने मित्र रविंद्र भट्ट जी के गेस्ट हाउस में थे ! भट्ट जी , न केवल अच्छे मेजबान और ट्रैकर हैं बल्कि रांसी के मंदिर के व्यवस्थापक , एक सरकारी अध्यापक और शानदार इंसान हैं ! उनके भाई , रांसी में ही ट्रैकिंग कंपनी भी चलाते हैं ! तो अगर आप रांसी से शुरू होने वाले या अन्य ट्रैक करने के इच्छुक हैं तो आप भट्ट जी को सम्पर्क कर सकते हैं !
आज 17 जून है और दिन शनिवार है ! रांसी पहुँच चुके हैं , जहां हैदराबाद से आये श्रीकांत हमारा इंतज़ार कर रहे हैं ! वो भी हमारे साथ इस ट्रैक पर चलेंगे ! पहली मुलाकात है ये हमारी श्रीकांत से , और भट्ट जी से दूसरी ! पहली मुलाकात , बहुत छोटी सी ,
सतोपंथ ट्रैक पर हुई थी ! मैं तो खा पीकर कम्बल में घुस गया ! बाकी के सब इंतज़ाम अमित भाई , श्रीकांत और भट्ट जी के हवाले ! बढ़िया मैनेजर हैं अमित भाई ! पोर्टर , राशन , स्लीपिंग बैग , टेंट , मैट सब कुछ तैयार हो चुका था ! अब बस अगले दिन ट्रेक पर निकलना था, तो दोबारा सो जाता हूँ :)
सुबह जगा तो तारीख और दिन बदल चुके थे , बदलता ही है यार :) ! नया थोड़े ही है कुछ , और हर जगह बदलता है चाहे आप रांसी में हों , दिल्ली में हों या लंदन में ! हर सुबह के बाद तारीख और दिन बदलता है , और अब तारीख है 18 जून 2017 और दिन है रविवार , बोले तो Sunday ! आज तो कम से कम नहा लेता हूँ फिर आठ दिन की बात जायेगी ! श्रीकांत के साथ रांसी के प्रसिद्ध "राकेश्वरी देवी " मंदिर के दर्शन कर आये ! इतने में अमित भाई ने फारेस्ट विभाग से परमिट बनवा लिया ! असल में नन्दीकुंड -घियाविनायक ट्रैक फारेस्ट विभाग के संरक्षित क्षेत्र में आता है और फॉरेस्ट विभाग 150 रूपये प्रति टैण्ट प्रतिदिन के हिसाब से पैसा लेता है ! आलू के दो-दो परांठे चाय - अचार के साथ नाश्ते में लेकर चल पड़े अपने ट्रैक के पहले कदम ! हमारे साथ ही बंगाल के कुछ युवकों ने मंधानी बुग्याल का ट्रैक शुरू किया , बंगाल के लोग भी जबरदस्त ट्रैकर होते हैं !! आज का हमारा लक्ष्य लगभग 10 किलोमीटर दूर नानू चट्टी ( Nanu Chatti ) पहुंचने का है !
रांसी से करीब 10 बजे शुरू किया था चलना और लगभग 12 बजे के आसपास हम गौंडार (Gaundhar ) गाँव में थे ! रांसी समुद्र तल से 2100 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर है और गौंडार 1900 मीटर के आसपास , तो हम ये कह सकते हैं कि इस पांच किलोमीटर की दूरी में हम लगभग 200 मीटर नीचे उतरे हैं और यही कारण भी रहा कि हम आसानी से चलते आये ! रांसी में बिजली उपलब्ध है लेकिन गौंडार (Gaundhar ) के लोग अभी भी मूलभूत सुविधाओं जैसे सड़क और डिस्पेंसरी के लिए संघर्ष कर रहे हैं , लेकिन ये गाँव वन क्षेत्र में आता है इसलिए प्रशासन की भी अपनी कुछ मजबूरियां रही होंगी ! हालाँकि गौंडार (Gaundhar ) में थोड़ा आगे जाकर एक छोटा सा हाइड्रो पावर प्लांट लगा है , तो शायद उनकी बिजली की समस्या तो लगभग नहीं होगी ! छोटा लेकिन खूबसूरत गाँव है गौंडार (Gaundhar ), रुकने खाने के लिए सब इंतज़ाम ! हमने भी एक जगह थोड़ा आराम लेने के लिए चाय पी , बातों बातों में पता चला कि ये सज्जन हमारे मित्र भट्ट जी के मामा श्री हैं ! इस तरफ का ये अंतिम गाँव है ! इससे आगे घर तो मिलेंगे , होटल -गेस्ट हाउस सब हैं लेकिन शायद वो अभी " सरकारी " अभिलेखों में न हों ! मधु गंगा नदी के किनारे किनारे चलते जाते हैं , एकदम साफ़ और सुरक्षित रास्ता है !
एक छोटी सी चट्टी आती है "बंतोली ( Bantoli ) !
यहां तक आपको खाने -रहने के लिए सब इंतज़ाम मिल जाएंगे ! वास्तव में , ये मध्यमहेश्वर मंदिर जाने का रास्ता है जो यात्रा सीजन में खूब चलता है और आपको पूरे रास्ते रहने -खाने की कोई दिक्कत नहीं होती ! अगर आप सिर्फ मध्यमहेश्वर तक जाना चाहते हैं तब आपको न टैण्ट की जरुरत है , न स्लीपिंग बैग की और न राशन -पोर्टर की ! लेकिन हमें मध्यमहेश्वर मंदिर से बहुत आगे जाना है तो हमें ये सब लेकर चलना ही पड़ेगा !
बंतोली ( Bantoli ) से निकलते ही पहाडों पर चलना शुरू हो जाते हैं और गोल -गोल पहाड़ के किनारों पर चलते हुए न जाने कितने पहाड़ पार कर दिए :) कहीं कहीं शेड बनी हुई हैं और रास्तों पर रेलिंग लगी हुई है ! अभी तक आसान ट्रैक है , कोई भी जा सकता है ! बच्चा -बूढ़ा -जवान !! गौंडार (Gaundhar ) से नानू चट्टी करीब पांच किलोमीटर दूर है लेकिन थोड़ी चढ़ाई है इसलिए थोड़ा सा कठिन होने लगता है चलना ! नानू चट्टी , कोई स्थायी गाँव या बस्ती नहीं है बल्कि गौंडार (Gaundhar ) के ही कुछ लोग अपने बच्चों और जानवरों के साथ गर्मियों में यहां आकर रहने लगते हैं ! हाँ , यहां भी आपको रहने खाने की सुविधा मिल जायेगी ! अब हम भी नानू चट्टी पहुँच गए हैं और इस वक्त करीब दोपहर के तीन बजे हैं ! आज यहीं अपना ठिकाना है , यहीं तम्बू लगेगा ! आज ICC चैंपियनशिप का फाइनल मैच है , इंडिया -पाकिस्तान के बीच ! चाय पीते पीते सुन रहे हैं , पाकिस्तान ने भारतीय गेंदबाजों की रेल बनाई हुई है चौके -छक्के मार मार के ! एक आदमी के पास रेडियो है उसी ने जैसे तैसे यहां इतनी दूर हमें सौभाग्य प्रदान किया है मैच सुनने का ! टीवी नहीं है तो देख नहीं सकते , सुनना ही बहुत है इतनी दूर ! वैसे एक बात है क्रिकेट और कोक के दीवाने आपको भारत के हर कोने में मिल जाएंगे !! यहां नानू चट्टी में कुछ बच्चे टायर से कोई गेम खेल रहे हैं , मोबाइल गेम नहीं खेलते ये, इसीलिए हष्ट -पुष्ट हैं :) और उनमें से एक बच्चा बहुत ही प्यारा लग रहा है ! न वो हिंदी जानता है और न मैं गढ़वाली ! लेकिन दोस्ती पक्की हो गई !! वैसे दोस्ती तो आपसे भी पक्की है मेरी !! तो आप तब तक फोटो देखिये और मैं और अमित भाई तब तक इन बच्चों के साथ टायर वाला गेम खेल के आते हैं :)

हांजी बुआ , इन पहाड़ों से बहुत , बहुत आगे तक गए थे और फिर दूसरी निकले थे ! चमोली और जोशीमठ के बीच में !!
